Raised in Philadelphia, marrying my childhood sweetheart, and rooting for the Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles taught me loyalty and perseverance. I earned a degree in Education from Temple University and volunteered as the first white female teacher at an all-Black elementary school in North Philadelphia. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to doing good and positively impacting others.
With two amazing sons and a husband running five pharmacies, life was busy—but a patient in need changed my path. After helping one woman obtain essential supplies, I plunged into entrepreneurship. What started as aiding a single person turned into a multimillion-dollar business operating across three states.
We expanded quickly—handling large-scale logistics, inventory, and receivables—but growth brought pressure and serious risks. After selling the company to private investors in 1986, betrayal and an exhausting eight-year legal fight destroyed our financial security. Although we prevailed in court, we lost everything in the process. At 52, we had to start over—deep in debt, emotionally spent, and searching for new purpose.
Then one remark altered everything: “If you help enough people, maybe you can rebuild your life.”
Despite initial doubts (and a failed $8,000 water-filter sale!), I embraced the challenge. After three years of full-time dedication, I achieved what some call an “overnight success.” It wasn’t luck—it came from relentless service, continual learning, and a commitment to lifting others.
We moved from wealth to hardship and back again—forming lifelong friendships and a global community along the way. Our story shows that resilience, honesty, and compassion can transform any chapter.
Today, my husband and I continue to give back—mentoring people who seek more than just income: time freedom, financial stability, and meaningful impact. We’ve adopted technology, wellness, and human connection to empower others to live younger, longer, and with greater joy, clarity, and purpose.
